Glatt presents new coater GCC at ACHEMA (Article in German)

More flexibility with improved containment

Sebastian Klipfel, Head of New Technologies Product Design at Glatt, presented the new GCC coater for film, functional and sugar coating at Achema: The GCC tablet coater has always been known for its speed. The further developed coater scores with even greater flexibility: pharmaceutical manufacturers can now also process loading volumes of five percent per batch. The coater can also cope with frequent product changes – and in an even smaller space. This is made possible by the optimized side doors and a fully integrated exhaust air chamber. The new air treatment system enables energy savings of up to 50 percent, the manufacturer promises. The tablet coater also offers integrated loading and automatic tablet emptying. It can furthermore be used for containment applications up to OEB5.
